Approximately 24 hours ago, the official Twitter account @PokemonGoApp tweeted out some teasers about the upcoming Team Rocket Invasion. We posted a full guide here including a video on our YouTube channel as confirmation that the promotion had been released for the last 24-hours.
Trainers, we have an incoming message from Professor Willow: “I’ve noticed an alarming number of reports from Trainers who have found PokéStops that look…discolored?” Trainers, please report any PokéStops that look different with #PokemonGO. pic.twitter.com/oxpXR7ZlSm— Pokémon GO (@PokemonGoApp) July 22, 2019
There seem to be unconfirmed reports that PoGo’ers are unable to locate Team Rocket pokemon stops since 12 PM Pacific / 3 PM Eastern, today. While there was no in-game announcement of enabling the Team Rocket encounters, the official @PokemonGoApp Twitter account did tweet out some teasers:
After taking a closer look with Spark, Professor Willow reported that Pokémon with some sort of mysterious aura were hanging around these discolored PokéStops. We hope they can get to the bottom of this! pic.twitter.com/MfzWa73WPN— Pokémon GO (@PokemonGoApp) July 23, 2019
Confirmed: Niantic tweets out that Team Rocket Invasion pokestops were not showing up.
Professor Willow has noticed that sightings of discolored PokéStops and Pokémon enshrouded in a shadowy aura have…suddenly stopped? ? ? Hmm… This phenomenon keeps getting more troubling the more we investigate it. ?— Pokémon GO (@PokemonGoApp) July 23, 2019
